Happy Birthday to me!!!*<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
*my b-day was yesterday, but I did finish all the knitting before midnight!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-kv-aRZsB9xc/WPTt97f0R8I/AAAAAAAAB3s/c_avr37ZMy4xhKr1N3LZdlDWhPdhRIY-ACPcB/s1600/cur3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-kv-aRZsB9xc/WPTt97f0R8I/AAAAAAAAB3s/c_avr37ZMy4xhKr1N3LZdlDWhPdhRIY-ACPcB/s320/cur3.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
Holidays made me too lazy to write a long post, so let me do a quick list:<br />
<ul>
<li>Yarn: <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/yarns/library/woczki-warmii-mirella">Mirella</a> by Włóczki Warmii. 100% virgin merino, hand painted. I cannot describe how gorgeous, soft and overall wonderful this yarn is! I'd say I prefer it over the Malabrigo Sock! </li>
<li>Colourway: Curry. Mirella is made in small dye lots, there's no telling if there will ever be a "curry" batch again.</li>
</ul>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-UnUbV1TZ8YI/WPTt99YyloI/AAAAAAAAB3s/PUfpZx5kZEYIYq7uJzKMTCOvktyDMF1wwCPcB/s1600/cur2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-UnUbV1TZ8YI/WPTt99YyloI/AAAAAAAAB3s/PUfpZx5kZEYIYq7uJzKMTCOvktyDMF1wwCPcB/s320/cur2.JPG" width="206" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<ul>
<li>Needles: 3,5mm - all the way.</li>
<li>Pattern: <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/hitofude-cardigan">Hitofude Cardigan</a> by Hiroko Fukatsu. Very well written!</li>
<li>Size made: M</li>
<li>Changes to pattern: I did 10 repeats for sleeves (less than in pattern), because I was afraid to run out of yarn...</li>
</ul>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-UPulINiQQO4/WPTt93wsPjI/AAAAAAAAB3s/06ir0FdWMQYHYzEAv1hjXJVAeU4O8qWLACPcB/s1600/cur5.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-UPulINiQQO4/WPTt93wsPjI/AAAAAAAAB3s/06ir0FdWMQYHYzEAv1hjXJVAeU4O8qWLACPcB/s320/cur5.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<ul>
<li>...which did not happen and I squeezed in 32 extra rows.</li>
<li>I used 274grams in total. </li>
<li>Additional rows were added by continuing increases in the same fashion as in charts B-E.</li>
<li>It took me 37 days to complete :)</li>
</ul>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-w8RVLt3JrJg/WPTt951U_jI/AAAAAAAAB3s/5NxR4W1ZMCklTye8aW0oVThfLHnUYwS6gCPcB/s1600/CUR1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-w8RVLt3JrJg/WPTt951U_jI/AAAAAAAAB3s/5NxR4W1ZMCklTye8aW0oVThfLHnUYwS6gCPcB/s320/CUR1.JPG" width="210" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
As always - thanks to my husband, who accompanied me into the garden, despite the dreadful weather. Easter was quite beautiful, but so cold, and unpredictable this year! </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ejk2mzBte3A/WPTt97iHaMI/AAAAAAAAB3s/7YlJqBhhYic_cOabo0SZXUcNlGspum2agCPcB/s1600/cur6.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ejk2mzBte3A/WPTt97iHaMI/AAAAAAAAB3s/7YlJqBhhYic_cOabo0SZXUcNlGspum2agCPcB/s320/cur6.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Now I can wait for warmer days, to show my best-looking-cardi-so-far to the world! </div>
<div>
And while I wait I have 1500 metres to wind...</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-G_VZvN-461I/WPTvPZcTGJI/AAAAAAAAB38/3cNNnj05lI8BtnyAr3cmtfVsQ-Jez5rBgCPcB/s1600/new.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-G_VZvN-461I/WPTvPZcTGJI/AAAAAAAAB38/3cNNnj05lI8BtnyAr3cmtfVsQ-Jez5rBgCPcB/s320/new.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
It is scratchy and smells of oil, but it will turn into an amazing... something. I'm not sure yet, but I'm definitely going for narrow stripes!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Happy Easter to y'all!</div>
<div>
And have a nice afternoon!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>

We spiced up our short spring trips tradition, and went not only to visit our favourite park (as we did <a href="http://hasiokandfriends.blogspot.com/2016/04/whooops.html" target="_blank">countless</a> <a href="http://hasiokandfriends.blogspot.com/2015/08/making-beginning-is-one-third-of-work.html" target="_blank">times</a> <a href="http://hasiokandfriends.blogspot.com/2015/05/may-day-trip.html" target="_blank">before</a>), but also...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-lLcVUqtXIjA/WOjRl138--I/AAAAAAAAB18/fkYJB5ZQJ9sbYxm-0gm0tl7CYYNoQQ6jACPcB/s1600/rudytrainnn.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="205" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-lLcVUqtXIjA/WOjRl138--I/AAAAAAAAB18/fkYJB5ZQJ9sbYxm-0gm0tl7CYYNoQQ6jACPcB/s320/rudytrainnn.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
We went to <a href="http://www.kolejkarudy.pl/site/start.html" target="_blank">Narrow-gauge Railway Museum</a>!!! And we managed to buy tickets for a short ride through forest! This place is extremely popular among families, especially on Sundays, so tickets are sold out quickly.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-4WJ3AwcZIvI/WOjRlwcFP_I/AAAAAAAAB18/MowLGcS5PZsVA6v_JQABhMLlWS2nRmFzQCPcB/s1600/rudytickets.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-4WJ3AwcZIvI/WOjRlwcFP_I/AAAAAAAAB18/MowLGcS5PZsVA6v_JQABhMLlWS2nRmFzQCPcB/s320/rudytickets.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
We had to wait for our turn for a while, so we had time to peek into every corner of the station.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-DaRFXhrRpgQ/WOjRl6gnRJI/AAAAAAAAB18/WnM3R7hKM1cyHZdnErv0-i3uEfpKbpWZgCPcB/s1600/rudyloko.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-DaRFXhrRpgQ/WOjRl6gnRJI/AAAAAAAAB18/WnM3R7hKM1cyHZdnErv0-i3uEfpKbpWZgCPcB/s320/rudyloko.JPG" width="219" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-R4gvjYgr0No/WOjRl7MtVqI/AAAAAAAAB18/4ZysoLSkV_o7fr2_esvoDx0h0hemiDp2gCPcB/s1600/rudychoo.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-R4gvjYgr0No/WOjRl7MtVqI/AAAAAAAAB18/4ZysoLSkV_o7fr2_esvoDx0h0hemiDp2gCPcB/s320/rudychoo.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
We also had the opportunity to meet the dog who lives there. He greets every returning train with his wiggling tail, and he is not at all bothered by hundreds of people going in and out. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-W8_iOyG4xQg/WOjRl4gnVHI/AAAAAAAAB18/2xxpOHvvMqgtD2Flas-KAoDOUxBFZ73BACPcB/s1600/rudydog.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-W8_iOyG4xQg/WOjRl4gnVHI/AAAAAAAAB18/2xxpOHvvMqgtD2Flas-KAoDOUxBFZ73BACPcB/s320/rudydog.JPG" width="320" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">"Why should I be? I OWN the place"</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So we finally squeezed into a tiny carriage, and went for a short, VERY LOUD trip. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
It was worth all the waiting, and so so much fun! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-MrBWqR6ne7M/WOjRl7aWvDI/AAAAAAAAB18/5MrUME8D27035yDIy2qclzbgf3-DnOIaACPcB/s1600/rudytrain.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-MrBWqR6ne7M/WOjRl7aWvDI/AAAAAAAAB18/5MrUME8D27035yDIy2qclzbgf3-DnOIaACPcB/s320/rudytrain.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-qY3uSXbWOMQ/WOjRl4eOC6I/AAAAAAAAB18/g6UGuRhgrFcpwIw-ABEKApDmduRSARCbACPcB/s1600/rudytrainn.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-qY3uSXbWOMQ/WOjRl4eOC6I/AAAAAAAAB18/g6UGuRhgrFcpwIw-ABEKApDmduRSARCbACPcB/s320/rudytrainn.JPG" width="233" /></a><a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-9mylz2kCO8M/WOjRl4RYszI/AAAAAAAAB18/QiLlLII4Xl4ngsTYWMMMfmd63H9VSlpkwCPcB/s1600/rudyruda.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-9mylz2kCO8M/WOjRl4RYszI/AAAAAAAAB18/QiLlLII4Xl4ngsTYWMMMfmd63H9VSlpkwCPcB/s320/rudyruda.JPG" width="209" /></a></div>
<br />
The train part did not take us long, and we continued this lovely afternoon in our favourite park..<br />
We were lucky to find the last parking spot on the parking lot (yay to me for squeezing in!).<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-67ESrmVqWK4/WOjRlxZEBSI/AAAAAAAAB18/viCDuxLOFtIVk66DuD7Qg02M-2LkZqlcwCPcB/s1600/rudy17.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-67ESrmVqWK4/WOjRlxZEBSI/AAAAAAAAB18/viCDuxLOFtIVk66DuD7Qg02M-2LkZqlcwCPcB/s320/rudy17.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
This time of the year sunlight reaches the bottom of the forest, so it is full of white and yellow flowers. And it smells of garlic because of the Bear's garlic (or wood garlic) that grows almost all around. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-F_R2TZVktN4/WOjRlxDu2FI/AAAAAAAAB18/-31TWLgP_NU0kPXX60h6kgqxV9tyg1sfwCPcB/s1600/rudyflow.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-F_R2TZVktN4/WOjRlxDu2FI/AAAAAAAAB18/-31TWLgP_NU0kPXX60h6kgqxV9tyg1sfwCPcB/s320/rudyflow.JPG" width="204" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Last week we completed all of our new apartment paperwork, and now we just have to move in. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Unfortunately I will have to leave Korek at my parent's place. He is a 9-years-old doggo, and it would be cruel to take him away from his very own garden. I will visit him often though! It is less than a kilometer away.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I did make him a sorts of a parting gift:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-o50kpfsbmcE/WOjXMf0ou-I/AAAAAAAAB2k/SQF4-LPd4NwdNPs113KFB7NSuTGHGPDowCPcB/s1600/shame2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="210" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-o50kpfsbmcE/WOjXMf0ou-I/AAAAAAAAB2k/SQF4-LPd4NwdNPs113KFB7NSuTGHGPDowCPcB/s320/shame2.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
A<a href="http://www.ravelry.com/projects/Escherichia/blanket-of-shame" target="_blank"> Blanket of Shame</a>! I started a while ago, and it was meant to be a sweet vengeance for all yarn balls he stole and drooled upon. I used all pinkish acrylics I could find, and combined them in simple C2C crochet blankie. I used the <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/corner-to-corner-c2c-corner-start-tutorial">Corner to Corner C2C Corner Start Tutorial</a> by Lauri Bolland. And I am very pleased with the result. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-1N50U1ySbdo/WOjXMU3qcyI/AAAAAAAAB2k/b7LjSmNzRG4y-HWHeCwA64Q6dHVrtRezwCPcB/s1600/shame1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-1N50U1ySbdo/WOjXMU3qcyI/AAAAAAAAB2k/b7LjSmNzRG4y-HWHeCwA64Q6dHVrtRezwCPcB/s320/shame1.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
So is the new owner! :) He took it away while I tried to get a decent picture.</div>

PS.: Guess who's getting a set of interchangeables for birthday next week? Aaand who got himself a complementary skein of hand painted artistic yarn? :3</div>

Apparently First Bee of 2017 was waiting for my previous post release... and showed up just one day later - on March 5th. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-yn2U6Xs2q-g/WNfVktuZY9I/AAAAAAAAB0k/MmX7F2qrK8UA2WINqG_wB44VGxMQd6_LACPcB/s1600/HFbee.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-yn2U6Xs2q-g/WNfVktuZY9I/AAAAAAAAB0k/MmX7F2qrK8UA2WINqG_wB44VGxMQd6_LACPcB/s320/HFbee.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
Ok, this may be considered cheating, because hyacinths were bought in a flower shop. But we have other flowers as well: <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-5DOjKM63lT0/WNfVksGqoqI/AAAAAAAAB0k/pXsL5Zi4HbAZa7gmndeiI0oX4AxqeCDDACPcB/s1600/HFbees.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-5DOjKM63lT0/WNfVksGqoqI/AAAAAAAAB0k/pXsL5Zi4HbAZa7gmndeiI0oX4AxqeCDDACPcB/s320/HFbees.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I mentioned buying fancy yarn in my previous post. As a 100th post celebration, or simply because I deserve some squishy goodness after this horrible winter! After hours of picking, calculating, terrorizing my husband with countless links I finally found what I was looking for - <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/yarns/library/woczki-warmii-mirella" target="_blank">Mirella </a>by Włóczki Warmii. Fingering weight 100% virgin merino wool, hand painted in Poland. Colorway "Curry". Yummy!<br />
<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-BzSA8zduS0s/WNfVklWfqqI/AAAAAAAAB0k/HiJxeDiQHf0AXB1XH2kdobrF7CSfey1UwCPcB/s1600/HFyarn.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-BzSA8zduS0s/WNfVklWfqqI/AAAAAAAAB0k/HiJxeDiQHf0AXB1XH2kdobrF7CSfey1UwCPcB/s320/HFyarn.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Shipping was really fast. I ordered on Saturday night, and the parcel was delivered on Tuesday afternoon. Luckily I had a day off after a night shift, when I came back home to this:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-SD9d-rZ6ock/WNfVksf9CeI/AAAAAAAAB0k/vrbsEstdp4c5u-gcIlCqu27yOARk70pEACPcB/s1600/HFyarn1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-SD9d-rZ6ock/WNfVksf9CeI/AAAAAAAAB0k/vrbsEstdp4c5u-gcIlCqu27yOARk70pEACPcB/s320/HFyarn1.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Since skeins were a bit too long for traditional one-chair winding I had to create a Wind@tron 2.0. I swear one day I'll try winding my skeins with hand mixer! <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-4dplCl0aS_w/WNfVkvo8XhI/AAAAAAAAB0k/twS3eQ3WmkUkTltKJ_s0fEKLcp9zHq16ACPcB/s1600/HFwind.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-4dplCl0aS_w/WNfVkvo8XhI/AAAAAAAAB0k/twS3eQ3WmkUkTltKJ_s0fEKLcp9zHq16ACPcB/s320/HFwind.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
It took me about two hours to wind all 1200meters into three neat balls.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-seRIKJZGEck/WNfVktQFzvI/AAAAAAAAB0k/Pcd1M1V2Hno5vHEIgEtKEJyxNUdGZGW3wCPcB/s1600/HFballs.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-seRIKJZGEck/WNfVktQFzvI/AAAAAAAAB0k/Pcd1M1V2Hno5vHEIgEtKEJyxNUdGZGW3wCPcB/s320/HFballs.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Being done with all that I was finally able to start working on the <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/hitofude-cardigan">Hitofude Cardigan</a> by Hiroko Fukatsu. I decided not to slip any stitches at the beginning of each row, and I consider it to be a good decision so far. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Z9VvU6307cc/WNfVkmfsUzI/AAAAAAAAB0k/gqgg3c8L5Aw11Ocy6YOvctJBBvv2t-npgCPcB/s1600/HFsts.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Z9VvU6307cc/WNfVkmfsUzI/AAAAAAAAB0k/gqgg3c8L5Aw11Ocy6YOvctJBBvv2t-npgCPcB/s320/HFsts.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
I'm working simultaneously with all three skeins - that forced me to cut thread twice after joining sleeves. No regrets though - yarn is an absolute pleasure to work with, and result is just gorgeous! It has tiny specks of red and green - just like real curry! </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-vT5CtyDfG8w/WNfVkgtDdII/AAAAAAAAB0k/Lrab67kW3SYn-BIWHgExfwEJySoLynGdQCPcB/s1600/HFsleeve.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="197" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-vT5CtyDfG8w/WNfVkgtDdII/AAAAAAAAB0k/Lrab67kW3SYn-BIWHgExfwEJySoLynGdQCPcB/s320/HFsleeve.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
So far I manager to finish sleeves (did 10 instead of 12 repeats), and start body increases. I still have 160g of yarn left, which should be enough to complete the cardi as intended. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I hope that my next post will be one of those "ta-daaaah" posts! Also, my birthday is getting closer, and I might get myself something... nice :)</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I'm running back my to knitting! Stupid daylight savings time took away a precious hour of my free weekend!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>

Have a nice afternoon!</div>

I promised something special for today, haven't I?<br />
And what can be more special and appropriate for celebration than...<br />
A FINISHED ADULT-SIZED GARMENT? For me?!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-s1qVeGysoqc/WLqfAaqetkI/AAAAAAAAByk/LaNQvaHfoegAjbQYPW5GjA3FS960Rg7EwCPcB/s1600/ahl2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-s1qVeGysoqc/WLqfAaqetkI/AAAAAAAAByk/LaNQvaHfoegAjbQYPW5GjA3FS960Rg7EwCPcB/s320/ahl2.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Pattern is called <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/ahelad-chains">Ahelad (Chains)</a> by Anna Kuduja. It's available for purchase on Ravelry. Very well written, easy to follow. After one repeat I just tossed the chart in my project bag and worked on my own. It is also easy to modify.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-LO88Ly6SMoM/WLqfAWLqt3I/AAAAAAAAByk/sF593LIAWf87SorQ2xLEByPmDzPJsZ1oQCPcB/s1600/ahl3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-LO88Ly6SMoM/WLqfAWLqt3I/AAAAAAAAByk/sF593LIAWf87SorQ2xLEByPmDzPJsZ1oQCPcB/s320/ahl3.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
I wanted to make size M at first but ended up with S (both sizes start with the same no. of stitches - lucky me!). It's a wise decision since cotton is quite heavy and it grew faster than I knitted! :) <br />
<br />
For this project I used <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/yarns/library/fibranatura-cottonwood">FibraNatura Cottonwood</a> in bottle green - 100% organic cotton, DK. Ravelry marked this one as "discontinued" but in Polish yarn shops there's still plenty left! I fell in love with this dark, rich green. <br />
It's very pleasant to work with, splits a bit but nowhere close to what I expected. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-G2jpQjU8oBY/WLqm6rc9T9I/AAAAAAAABzU/IzjfQHxnfNAdKytKf71e1BZJpn4VUfh2gCPcB/s1600/ahlyarn.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="179" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-G2jpQjU8oBY/WLqm6rc9T9I/AAAAAAAABzU/IzjfQHxnfNAdKytKf71e1BZJpn4VUfh2gCPcB/s320/ahlyarn.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
What surprised me was the needle size. When I started my knitting adventure I was a tight-knitter. Now I worked DK weight yarn with 3,5mm (flat) and 4mm (in round) needles... and fabric is soft and drapey! <br />
<br />
Also.. the stitch definition is just amazing!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-FJast9naSUY/WLqfAZudCEI/AAAAAAAAByk/owv7uglPs7Yvm_hIWcgLnCyXe7oAZz_qwCPcB/s1600/ahlchains.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="190" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-FJast9naSUY/WLqfAZudCEI/AAAAAAAAByk/owv7uglPs7Yvm_hIWcgLnCyXe7oAZz_qwCPcB/s320/ahlchains.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I used almost 7 skeins - 350grams. I'm keeping the last one in case I would like to add some length to it after washing. <br />
<br />
As always thanks to my husband who took all the pics! This time Korek seemed eager to help...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-EoI5l5ESjE8/WLqfAVdflMI/AAAAAAAAByk/QRDZjR_XQKQrZyjJi3Ashpfhpt5G5ic6QCPcB/s1600/ahlcuddles.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-EoI5l5ESjE8/WLqfAVdflMI/AAAAAAAAByk/QRDZjR_XQKQrZyjJi3Ashpfhpt5G5ic6QCPcB/s320/ahlcuddles.jpg" width="139" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
But it turned out he was just in it for cuddles!</div>
<div>
Oh, you! </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-fdxWcdrCmqI/WLqfAQa8K-I/AAAAAAAAByk/i_eZCPdvy2EqjmXzDiVjbUveU4alc7KQwCPcB/s1600/ahlkorel.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-fdxWcdrCmqI/WLqfAQa8K-I/AAAAAAAAByk/i_eZCPdvy2EqjmXzDiVjbUveU4alc7KQwCPcB/s320/ahlkorel.JPG" width="203" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Now that I completed 2 WIP's over just two weeks I can finally buy more yarn! </div>
<div>
Have a nice afternoon! </div>
<div>
<br /></div>

Last two months have been crazy. Many things changed. Some for good - we're getting our own apartment in three months, and some for worse - we lost our little friend - Tiny Tina. <br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-GQ6U9U-0KCM/WKmZ1RAoXTI/AAAAAAAABv4/gl-fRdgPX0EkknO_PY5ohcMOvSWv0w_AwCPcB/s1600/tina.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-GQ6U9U-0KCM/WKmZ1RAoXTI/AAAAAAAABv4/gl-fRdgPX0EkknO_PY5ohcMOvSWv0w_AwCPcB/s320/tina.JPG" width="223" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Farewell my fuzzball :(</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<br />
All this made me a bit to busy to blog. Sorry!<br />
<br />
In<a href="http://hasiokandfriends.blogspot.com/2016/10/3000-stitches-to-go.html" target="_blank"> this post</a> from October 2nd I wrote that "I secretly hope this winter will be colder than the last one, so I will be able to use my shawl often, without risking overheating."<br />
I hereby want to sincerely apologize! I have had it with this winter!!!<br />
It's either this:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-yT4CMeXyzxs/WKmZ1UtQ8BI/AAAAAAAABv4/YtoQJ_dEV44Tul0dQFDwv2qPRxqa1fkYQCPcB/s1600/car.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="215" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-yT4CMeXyzxs/WKmZ1UtQ8BI/AAAAAAAABv4/YtoQJ_dEV44Tul0dQFDwv2qPRxqa1fkYQCPcB/s320/car.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Or this...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-1QcfqH7hSjg/WKmZ1Wg5uFI/AAAAAAAABv4/EsbpgollFs4kL-a6QfbEwNYPIQkqTDIggCPcB/s1600/winter.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="116" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-1QcfqH7hSjg/WKmZ1Wg5uFI/AAAAAAAABv4/EsbpgollFs4kL-a6QfbEwNYPIQkqTDIggCPcB/s320/winter.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
By "this" I mean that grey haze over my lovely town. Smog is a serious issue this year.<br />
<br />
Ok, enough whining!<br />
I promised myself to not reveal<a href="http://www.ravelry.com/projects/Escherichia/the-sunshine-owl-cal" target="_blank"> my Giant Owl Blanket</a> before it's new owners see it first... but I just can't help myself. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-9UjLM1rgQLk/WKmZ1W84BEI/AAAAAAAABv4/nBlM4-3tJTEa3_B5po6RYPqb0vqYHnqDQCPcB/s1600/owl1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="252" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-9UjLM1rgQLk/WKmZ1W84BEI/AAAAAAAABv4/nBlM4-3tJTEa3_B5po6RYPqb0vqYHnqDQCPcB/s320/owl1.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I joined the <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/the-sunshine-owl-cal" target="_blank">Sunshine Owl CAL</a> a bit too late and in the end I followed instructions up to week 5. Then the blanket got a bit too big for a newborn blankie. </div>
<div>
Here you can clearly see when I started improvising, and lost stitch count. Oh flaring... I wanted to frog it at first, but then I thought - no one is going to lay it this flat! </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-y1bilouP7j8/WKmZ1aPM7KI/AAAAAAAABv4/nBB-3UTVwpA9jj8Dd0VFAe4osNIyaB2nQCPcB/s1600/owl2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-y1bilouP7j8/WKmZ1aPM7KI/AAAAAAAABv4/nBB-3UTVwpA9jj8Dd0VFAe4osNIyaB2nQCPcB/s320/owl2.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
For some reason my owl turned too big for the center so I did some shortcuts here and there:</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-hq1m4AAm4oE/WKmZ1U_m-II/AAAAAAAABv4/ZozQv_Yfs5kWAtf6XdNVvMWboJ1fF5f_QCPcB/s1600/owl.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-hq1m4AAm4oE/WKmZ1U_m-II/AAAAAAAABv4/ZozQv_Yfs5kWAtf6XdNVvMWboJ1fF5f_QCPcB/s320/owl.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
And here's one more look at edges:</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-vySV3D1wy2M/WKmZ1b8L_BI/AAAAAAAABv4/giFXOdgqO60tZN70GdgjzZJWz9cOvRuygCPcB/s1600/owledge.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="206" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-vySV3D1wy2M/WKmZ1b8L_BI/AAAAAAAABv4/giFXOdgqO60tZN70GdgjzZJWz9cOvRuygCPcB/s320/owledge.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
For this project<i> </i>I used 100% acrylic yarn<a href="http://www.ravelry.com/yarns/library/bonbon-ince" target="_blank"> Ince by Bonbon</a> in DK weight. It's not a top-notch yarn but colors are vibrant and pure, it also is very even and works up quickly. It went great with a 4mm hook (4,5 mm for two green sections - lacy ones). The whole thing is HUGE - 120x120cm. And that is not the entire pattern!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-df_qEZYMleg/WKmewoPr8GI/AAAAAAAABxM/AuyBrwjAufsOdqzO8WCum0sadbkBZDKAQCPcB/s1600/yarn.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="179" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-df_qEZYMleg/WKmewoPr8GI/AAAAAAAABxM/AuyBrwjAufsOdqzO8WCum0sadbkBZDKAQCPcB/s320/yarn.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
It took 510g of yarn - I purchased one skein of each color - 10 skeins in total. Looks like someone will make another blankie! <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Grhi1bn2IqE/WKmZ1ac2MwI/AAAAAAAABwc/oug0jEgGijYE5RXUjc28IRUPrQCipyQZgCPcB/s1600/owlends.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="245" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Grhi1bn2IqE/WKmZ1ac2MwI/AAAAAAAABwc/oug0jEgGijYE5RXUjc28IRUPrQCipyQZgCPcB/s320/owlends.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
My next post will also be the 100th post! That calls for some celebration. Of course I'll do my best not to write it in April! </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Have a nice afternoon! </div>

The fact that it gets dark before I even finish my dinner doesn't help either. <br />
<br />
But enough whining! I did something very special today. <br />
Mom asked me if I still had my pillows that I bought for stuffing amigurumi. "Sure, what do you need stuffed?"<br />
And she gave me this:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-9K2Uys-rmTE/WFaPTZzC2RI/AAAAAAAABt4/Lv5GLu1SxiI0FiKHT3AEINa_sCTkxUapACPcB/s1600/MIS.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-9K2Uys-rmTE/WFaPTZzC2RI/AAAAAAAABt4/Lv5GLu1SxiI0FiKHT3AEINa_sCTkxUapACPcB/s320/MIS.JPG" width="266" /></a></div>
<br />
That is my dearly beloved teddy bear! I can't even estimate his age. I'm 100% sure I had him already in 1995 when I went to preschool. And he wasn't in much better shape back then :) <br />Over years he lost the nose, along with most of his volume. My grandma did her best to rescue him on multiple occasions. But let's make it clear - there was no fiberfill back in 1990s!<br />
<br />
I didn't even had to cut him open, because he was already torn on the side, and partially decapitated. <br />
<br />
[warning: graphic image]<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Eu25JRizOlI/WFaPTZwKNYI/AAAAAAAABt4/cvYDKG-35Nc5ghjnk4o184AMmCZpUWWjQCPcB/s1600/MIS%2B1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Eu25JRizOlI/WFaPTZwKNYI/AAAAAAAABt4/cvYDKG-35Nc5ghjnk4o184AMmCZpUWWjQCPcB/s320/MIS%2B1.JPG" width="266" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Inside I found multiple hard chunks of old stuffing, some cloths and even piece of a sleeve(?). </div>
<div>
Here's a picture of my flattened bear - as you can see he wasn't much better before:</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-EcEqKGIPJnA/WFaPTX5MEeI/AAAAAAAABt4/9ZZ7T3fc7ggyig-sRAIifIYjzLX9Yxi0gCPcB/s1600/MIS%2B2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-EcEqKGIPJnA/WFaPTX5MEeI/AAAAAAAABt4/9ZZ7T3fc7ggyig-sRAIifIYjzLX9Yxi0gCPcB/s320/MIS%2B2.JPG" width="266" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I used two types of filling: older low quality one I got from an old pillow - I put it in limbs, because it is thicker and holds shape better. Head and belly were filled with the best fiberfill I could find. I did some stitching and to my surprise...</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-xhsXPfYD7x8/WFaPTdq3uyI/AAAAAAAABt4/XcXB8vFrDawKmzgDmjXI-M3sn4alQBYnwCPcB/s1600/MIS%2B3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-xhsXPfYD7x8/WFaPTdq3uyI/AAAAAAAABt4/XcXB8vFrDawKmzgDmjXI-M3sn4alQBYnwCPcB/s320/MIS%2B3.JPG" width="266" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
...I discovered that my bear was designed to sit on his own. He NEVER did! </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
In case you wonder why is he nameless - as a kid I rarely named my toys. </div>
<div>
He wasn't just a bear though, he was the Bear! </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ZcwMfzC-b1E/WFaPTUHS2NI/AAAAAAAABt4/xX2FjOLHbyACE8opWkRIjlJUxBoB6puzgCPcB/s1600/MIS%2Bpanorama.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="192" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ZcwMfzC-b1E/WFaPTUHS2NI/AAAAAAAABt4/xX2FjOLHbyACE8opWkRIjlJUxBoB6puzgCPcB/s320/MIS%2Bpanorama.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Good to have you back, pal!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>

I'm sorry it took me so long to start that post! In fact, I started writing it last week when temperature went below 0°C(32°F) for the first time. Today's weather is warm and damp, but not as photogenic.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-PvwZwmJp1lk/WCW7dPjbvdI/AAAAAAAABrY/W9YgO_Vdor80dO9ylEgc0qRq3g-VWwnewCPcB/s1600/frost.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="220" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-PvwZwmJp1lk/WCW7dPjbvdI/AAAAAAAABrY/W9YgO_Vdor80dO9ylEgc0qRq3g-VWwnewCPcB/s320/frost.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
I got out into the freezing cold of early morning to take those, I hope you appreciate that! <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-lzTauodtuN8/WCW7dNjyNiI/AAAAAAAABrY/yLUSfNS0ayor15seun89T24-3DYiA8pvgCPcB/s1600/frost1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-lzTauodtuN8/WCW7dNjyNiI/AAAAAAAABrY/yLUSfNS0ayor15seun89T24-3DYiA8pvgCPcB/s320/frost1.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Those spider webs sure looked festive! <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-XWfbsCA2PJc/WCW7dHYG7OI/AAAAAAAABrY/koIPj8Lar_YdBRrvs9oIbUTsIlWm_9UowCPcB/s1600/frost4.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-XWfbsCA2PJc/WCW7dHYG7OI/AAAAAAAABrY/koIPj8Lar_YdBRrvs9oIbUTsIlWm_9UowCPcB/s320/frost4.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Since it was really cold I had to speed things up with hubby's scarf-in-making. And here it is! He loves it and no longer calls it "too colorful" :)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-nCUpMEktwRY/WCW7dM1F0eI/AAAAAAAABrY/f2jpdE0k0ksWMcfuRfH7Xskuitpx-Z6hQCPcB/s1600/ascarft2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-nCUpMEktwRY/WCW7dM1F0eI/AAAAAAAABrY/f2jpdE0k0ksWMcfuRfH7Xskuitpx-Z6hQCPcB/s320/ascarft2.JPG" width="259" /></a></div>
<br />
Pattern is called <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/zickzack-scarf"><span style="color: #a8a9e1;">ZickZack Scarf</span></a> by Christy Kamm, free on Ravelry.<br />
I really enjoyed knitting it! It was easy to memorize, just 12 sts repeat throughout the entire thing. I used <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/yarns/library/oren-bayan-merino-gold-ii" target="_blank">Merino Gold II</a> by Oren Brayan for this (the 70% acrylic 30% merino version) - one skein of plain gray and one in grayish batik. I didn't use up it all - I cast off at about 180cm. <br />
My only modification was casting on 60sts and adding 2 extra for edges - 1st slipped purlwise, last knitted. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-yMDUMEd3CtY/WCW7dKsmKgI/AAAAAAAABrg/DB-KA-pVPokEMw1Gx2ny-_tgXtQKQtS3ACPcB/s1600/ascarft.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-yMDUMEd3CtY/WCW7dKsmKgI/AAAAAAAABrg/DB-KA-pVPokEMw1Gx2ny-_tgXtQKQtS3ACPcB/s320/ascarft.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
Currently I'm working on a cardi I intend to use during my night shifts. It's a simple open-front raglan cardi in a very "medical" teal shade. I don't like that color but at least yarn was a freebie! I need to put some serious effort into that, cause I already had my first night shift... and my cardi is still nowhere near to FO.<br />
<br />
Back to knitting then! <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<br />
Have a nice afternoon! <br />

I had to take care of a huge pile of paperwork to progress with my career (get my full license, start specialty training). Now I have a few free weeks ahead, waiting for more paperwork to come. But hey, I'm pursuing a dream!:)<br />
<br />
Staying at home I had time to refresh some of my older, a bit dusty hobbies! <br />
As a kid I spent hours drawing. I even attended some afternoon classes. Last week I bought a nice (and discounted) set of oil pastels. I also dug up a 15 year old set I got in my elementary school! That, some dry pastels, black craft paper and few hours of being crafty resulted in this:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-kD2nRspwn0A/WBXomxLHsoI/AAAAAAAABqI/2vrRXWkXhXs7oFgEKmS_59_pyIuYyZTlACPcB/s1600/drawings.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="256" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-kD2nRspwn0A/WBXomxLHsoI/AAAAAAAABqI/2vrRXWkXhXs7oFgEKmS_59_pyIuYyZTlACPcB/s320/drawings.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Getting my fingers dirty with a mix of autumnal shades makes me happy and relaxed.<br />
Some pieces even make me feel rather proud:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ic7P5mEZlHc/WBXom1szqJI/AAAAAAAABqI/lJ_XT7Rs8DQ9cku9ppONR4MWOcR1xGGUQCPcB/s1600/draw2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ic7P5mEZlHc/WBXom1szqJI/AAAAAAAABqI/lJ_XT7Rs8DQ9cku9ppONR4MWOcR1xGGUQCPcB/s320/draw2.JPG" width="209" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-CTcF7Fd7reQ/WBXom1HhuDI/AAAAAAAABqI/MvpZcd2BmM8OzWnStO6dmyGk1hvkEfstgCPcB/s1600/draw5.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="222" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-CTcF7Fd7reQ/WBXom1HhuDI/AAAAAAAABqI/MvpZcd2BmM8OzWnStO6dmyGk1hvkEfstgCPcB/s320/draw5.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Others - a little less proud (cheesiness and all):</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-t5YMptUxE50/WBXomzds8II/AAAAAAAABqI/upnB_8mCyOkq86TMr2v-kWSYpU-KTX0HACPcB/s1600/draw4.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="208" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-t5YMptUxE50/WBXomzds8II/AAAAAAAABqI/upnB_8mCyOkq86TMr2v-kWSYpU-KTX0HACPcB/s320/draw4.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-sRQALycaJ9I/WBXom2wJVPI/AAAAAAAABqI/Efxl_kRL2VUB-DdV3yJADZ-zwIappoKXgCPcB/s1600/draw6.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="216" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-sRQALycaJ9I/WBXom2wJVPI/AAAAAAAABqI/Efxl_kRL2VUB-DdV3yJADZ-zwIappoKXgCPcB/s320/draw6.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div>
...and there are those that don't. They just don't:</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-DVECsgovp9I/WBXomxZcz4I/AAAAAAAABqI/9tx1R5947BoJ17ZIEdDYWRPzSqQ4zw_6ACPcB/s1600/draw3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="218" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-DVECsgovp9I/WBXomxZcz4I/AAAAAAAABqI/9tx1R5947BoJ17ZIEdDYWRPzSqQ4zw_6ACPcB/s320/draw3.JPG" width="320" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">An aggressive squirrel.</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-mWisN8ICv4Y/WBXom7kaj5I/AAAAAAAABqI/PDzzhYnPJ5sGuvUpK9PkYQQwNjGDS9HpQCPcB/s1600/draw1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="230" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-mWisN8ICv4Y/WBXom7kaj5I/AAAAAAAABqI/PDzzhYnPJ5sGuvUpK9PkYQQwNjGDS9HpQCPcB/s320/draw1.JPG" width="320" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">And this is SUPPOSED TO BE Tiny Tina</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I also re-started my stick insect farm. Well, there are only three of them and they comfortably fit in a jar, so it's hardly a "farm"... Nevertheles I feel so excited about watching them grow! Especially because I have no idea what species are they :)</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-08ZO3PL3UQ0/WBXomyI6GdI/AAAAAAAABqI/qgiYjhwaQpQp5wxoaiSPK8skDdX7jyKnQCPcB/s1600/stickkk.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-08ZO3PL3UQ0/WBXomyI6GdI/AAAAAAAABqI/qgiYjhwaQpQp5wxoaiSPK8skDdX7jyKnQCPcB/s320/stickkk.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
The third "forgotten" hobby of mine is playing Morrowind. I thought I wouldn't enjoy the rather out-dated gameplay, after playing Skyrim and Witcher 3... but I do! And it is as much fun as it was in 2006 when I first played it :)</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Between all that I still have some time for knitting/crocheting. Currently I'm working on two projects. My hubby's scarf - <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/zickzack-scarf">ZickZack Scarf</a> by Christy Kamm.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-f7IkYnaJswE/WBXom4Or5CI/AAAAAAAABqI/wab0Rd_QLdINzVNrGsbIpWPlplE24aX1ACPcB/s1600/zickzack.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-f7IkYnaJswE/WBXom4Or5CI/AAAAAAAABqI/wab0Rd_QLdINzVNrGsbIpWPlplE24aX1ACPcB/s320/zickzack.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
He dared to call it "too colorful"! Can you believe it?! </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
The second project I would like to keep secret. I'm 99% sure the future owner never reads my blog, but there's no rush for him to find out about it. Yet.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div>
</div>
<div>
We're having a beautiful weather today, so we'll be spending our Sunday afternoon in a forest outside of town. It will surely be inspiring.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Have a nice afternoon!</div>

Let's sum it up, shall we?</div>
<ul>
<li>1 <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/shift-shawl" target="_blank">pattern</a> by Larissa Brown </li>
<li>5 skeins of Drops Alpaca </li>

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-h9VaJVj-smw/V_oVu_4SnkI/AAAAAAAABpA/JW91-XOUmN0TIYAB-I9rRhwnILv8S6L3wCPcB/s1600/Shift1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-h9VaJVj-smw/V_oVu_4SnkI/AAAAAAAABpA/JW91-XOUmN0TIYAB-I9rRhwnILv8S6L3wCPcB/s320/Shift1.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I made some minor changes to the original. I ran out of light beige yarn after 8 garter ridges (instead of 9, so I made additional two garter rows in off white, and then bound off using Jenny's Surprisingly Stretchy Bind Off. <br />Wet blocking took almost 18 hours, but it was worth it!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-GEOU-4g774M/V_oVu5gh8YI/AAAAAAAABpA/wsT4Jk5WekM8WoYMW6GVL-mNIDMyQbAIgCPcB/s1600/Shift2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-GEOU-4g774M/V_oVu5gh8YI/AAAAAAAABpA/wsT4Jk5WekM8WoYMW6GVL-mNIDMyQbAIgCPcB/s320/Shift2.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I wish I had a set of blocking wires, that could help me with this weird wavy edge you can see on pic above. Luckily it vanishes when the shawl is worn! :)</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-cGTfMbTEaHw/V_oVuyCtRhI/AAAAAAAABpA/G9w8d9SrgFAlL3if55EjvBX057aYqI95QCPcB/s1600/Shift4.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-cGTfMbTEaHw/V_oVuyCtRhI/AAAAAAAABpA/G9w8d9SrgFAlL3if55EjvBX057aYqI95QCPcB/s320/Shift4.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
This happens to be my first knitted shawl. The first one that's not a forever-WIP that is. And it is HUGE! I even convinced my reluctant husband to help me with pictures:</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-S7jZXbR7onI/V_oVu5I6NuI/AAAAAAAABpA/QaTypSkQ7ZoEby7k755FYprYpnaH9eQuACPcB/s1600/Shift6.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="191" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-S7jZXbR7onI/V_oVu5I6NuI/AAAAAAAABpA/QaTypSkQ7ZoEby7k755FYprYpnaH9eQuACPcB/s320/Shift6.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I'm still figuring out ways to wear it. In fact, I had to rush a bit this weekend, because tomorrow I'm going to buy a winter coat. And I don't have to tell you what will be first criterion! </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-RNyO12Xd8j0/V_oVu8Ly4hI/AAAAAAAABpA/fGBgulWrJwYME0161Ij9O6Wk0mHURT-6gCPcB/s1600/Shift5.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-RNyO12Xd8j0/V_oVu8Ly4hI/AAAAAAAABpA/fGBgulWrJwYME0161Ij9O6Wk0mHURT-6gCPcB/s320/Shift5.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Here's more detailed color info:</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Garnstudio DROPS Alpaca (100% alpaca, sport weight)</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
A - natural white 0100 <br />B - dark beige 0618 <br />C - brown 0403 <br />D - dark red 3650 <br />E - light beige 0302</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I used up most of color D, all but 2g of color E, but I should be able to knit a matching hat from what I have left. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div>
However weird that sounds, I'm so happy about the gloomy, windy, damp days we have now. Weather like this was made for alpaca!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>

<br /></div>
<div>
Have a nice (not necessarily warm) afternoon!<br />Gosia.<br /></div>
Escherichiahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12826641577588628815noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2897208609549447394.post-77240892530858132512016-10-02T11:51:00.000+02:002016-10-02T13:13:01.185+02:003000 stitches to go.Two months ago I learned how important it is to read labels carefully. I was looking for a suitable yarn to make a <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/shift-shawl">Shift Shawl</a> by Larissa Brown. My pick was Drops Alpaca, so I started my search for perfect color combination. I felt so lucky, finding it in lower than usual price... and in fact I felt lucky for another few minutes, until I realized I just purchased 5 skeins of Drops ALASKA instead of ALPACA. More haste, less speed I guess. I did put it into <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/projects/Escherichia/holding-hands-feeding-ducks" target="_blank">good use</a> though!<br />
<br />
My second approach was successful and I managed to purchase the correct amount of yarn I intended to buy. Yay! <br />
I started working on September 13th, and after two and a half weeks (and one train trip to Katowice) I got so far:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-wnXujUZEfQw/V_C5b2D5mmI/AAAAAAAABnw/8WGDlw8YOuctMvnSsuJnEuCL6lj-aW5vQCPcB/s1600/alp2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-wnXujUZEfQw/V_C5b2D5mmI/AAAAAAAABnw/8WGDlw8YOuctMvnSsuJnEuCL6lj-aW5vQCPcB/s320/alp2.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
And I absolutely ADORE this yarn! It is so soft, fuzzy, and smells so good! Of course, I had to be greedy, trying to squeeze in one extra garter ridge in each color section. Now I'm afraid I will lose the game of yarn chicken with the light beige skein. This won't make a big difference, though. I can make the edge with off-white yarn. <br />
<br />
My sister pointed out that colors I picked are a bit old-fashioned and grandmother-like. Well, I think the word she was looking for was "retro". <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-b11pYpxfOp8/V_C5b01muoI/AAAAAAAABnw/x5D9U4XeSrEDxEGwV8QTWmpI_oBY13-yQCPcB/s1600/alp1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="234" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-b11pYpxfOp8/V_C5b01muoI/AAAAAAAABnw/x5D9U4XeSrEDxEGwV8QTWmpI_oBY13-yQCPcB/s320/alp1.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
At this moment I have at least 5 more beige ridges to make, 4-5 off white stockinette stripes and edging. This is well over 3000 stitches to be made. No time to lose!<br />
<br />
I secretly hope this winter will be colder than the last one, so I will be able to use my shawl often, without risking overheating.<br />
<br />
Have a nice afternoon! <br />
<br />
Gosia. <br />
<br />
<br />

<br />
PS.: I might have ordered 10 skeins of yarn for a baby blankie yesterday... whoops. <br />

As usual, it brings changes. I'm slowly finishing my internship, meaning I will start a "real job" soon. This will mean less time for my hobby, I'm afraid. <br />
<br />
Luckily there are things that stay the same. Like my <b>everlasting love for amigurumi</b> for instance. Last weekend hubby talked me into buying a new magazine, dedicated only to crocheting toys. <br />
Inside I found several patterns for woodland creatures, and one that caught my eye from the start. It took me about 4-5 hours to complete it. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-NnG1F4VXgaI/V-lUejSYnPI/AAAAAAAABl8/GyVWLt9Zul4kDWvUaYtXgMby27W59yITgCPcB/s1600/Fennecparts.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-NnG1F4VXgaI/V-lUejSYnPI/AAAAAAAABl8/GyVWLt9Zul4kDWvUaYtXgMby27W59yITgCPcB/s320/Fennecparts.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Meet my sweet little Fennec Fox! <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ric7CgMz7Mg/V-lUelVLXxI/AAAAAAAABl8/vpgwcLda8yk8k4Xc8rJThs4Kldq3GfHuQCPcB/s1600/Fennec.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ric7CgMz7Mg/V-lUelVLXxI/AAAAAAAABl8/vpgwcLda8yk8k4Xc8rJThs4Kldq3GfHuQCPcB/s320/Fennec.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Pattern <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/amigurumi-fifi-the-fennec-fox">Amigurumi Fifi the Fennec Fox</a> by Sweet N' Cute Creations is also available on Ravelry. <br />
It was very easy to make. I'm not sure if the assembly is depicted better in pdf version, but I didn't find many tips in print. It took me few tries to be happy with result.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-O_04YYIsWLg/V-lUetZKPrI/AAAAAAAABl8/zzrVXclCOfomzCpFlwnzm6yBfqQWLrh1ACPcB/s1600/fennec2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-O_04YYIsWLg/V-lUetZKPrI/AAAAAAAABl8/zzrVXclCOfomzCpFlwnzm6yBfqQWLrh1ACPcB/s320/fennec2.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
For the first time I inserted glass marbles into hind legs and one into chest region. It made it more stable. Most of my plushies end up as baby toys at one point, so I rarely put anything except fiberfill inside. Fennec however, is moving to Cracow to accompany my sister-in-law on her college adventures. I hope she knows better! :)</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Next time I will share my big autumnal project! I completed 3 out of 5 sections so far, but rows are getting dangerously loooong. But how can I complain, if I get to work with pure alpaca? <3<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-3Vv-96SBKy8/V9GRvApZKZI/AAAAAAAABj8/8IibdZ-cmDsJkt-GqhvG_5cb-5dq5vDawCPcB/s1600/cig.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-3Vv-96SBKy8/V9GRvApZKZI/AAAAAAAABj8/8IibdZ-cmDsJkt-GqhvG_5cb-5dq5vDawCPcB/s320/cig.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
See? That's a good reason! Let me share some sunny memories with you!<br />
<br />
A week ago me and hubby returned from our best summer trip so far. <br />
We spent two weeks in mountains. To be more precise in <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Low_Beskids" target="_blank">Low Beskids</a>. In a small village known for it's water springs. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-DeogJ16ssfs/V9GRvAl9FoI/AAAAAAAABj8/JcdgJJ_-tp8izUJfam3sfC4GSHtt_IDuQCPcB/s1600/pijalnia.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-DeogJ16ssfs/V9GRvAl9FoI/AAAAAAAABj8/JcdgJJ_-tp8izUJfam3sfC4GSHtt_IDuQCPcB/s320/pijalnia.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div>
I have to admit, I managed to drink only two glasses of the spring water. Mainly because it was salty and tasted a bit... rusty? I just hope that clean air, hours spent on hiking and relax will be enough to keep us in a good health for the next year.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
First day in Wysowa greeted us with bad weather. We woke up very early, and decided to go for a stroll around the park. I guess, we weren't the only ones with this idea:</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-MUQKaAeZSRY/V9GRvK68KTI/AAAAAAAABj8/sFOYcFDP_OcKaLxmnZ8B9MDAHKUXWLvtQCPcB/s1600/jelonki.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-MUQKaAeZSRY/V9GRvK68KTI/AAAAAAAABj8/sFOYcFDP_OcKaLxmnZ8B9MDAHKUXWLvtQCPcB/s320/jelonki.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Deer. Wild deer in a park in the middle of a village! This is when I felt that's it's a perfect holiday spot for me! Even with all the rain and 99% humidity.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-7HrRRx7NKvA/V9GRvPl9v0I/AAAAAAAABj8/O5Ww0q25nOUiWEIlJXn10P8F420fKblNQCPcB/s1600/badweather.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-7HrRRx7NKvA/V9GRvPl9v0I/AAAAAAAABj8/O5Ww0q25nOUiWEIlJXn10P8F420fKblNQCPcB/s320/badweather.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Of course I was prepared for that! In case of a bad weather I packed my yarn bag with freshly bought Drops Alaska. I wanted to buy Alpaca, but I got distracted by a low price and didn't read the label twice...</div>
<div>
Aaaanyway. Inspired by all grey, green and yellow shades mixing in my surroundings I came up with an idea for a cowl.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-wxRfSCZtZGY/V9GRvN5JPVI/AAAAAAAABj8/gFBa9YzHTXAMkkWmGXO0JD_rBbjuz-41wCPcB/s1600/hhfd.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-wxRfSCZtZGY/V9GRvN5JPVI/AAAAAAAABj8/gFBa9YzHTXAMkkWmGXO0JD_rBbjuz-41wCPcB/s320/hhfd.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I used a free pattern <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/holding-hands-feeding-ducks" target="_blank">Holding Hands, Feeding Ducks</a> by <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/designers/morgen-dammerung">Morgen Dämmerung</a>, but I think it's also called just star stitch. Knitting goes surprisingly fast, when you have a bad/none Internet connection, and no job to worry about. After just few days I had is all done:</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-9biZomNRCwM/V9GRvJB_kYI/AAAAAAAABj8/2ADlnlZQi2YkRPH01hNa8MxC4R0fIEzrgCPcB/s1600/ccowl.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="250" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-9biZomNRCwM/V9GRvJB_kYI/AAAAAAAABj8/2ADlnlZQi2YkRPH01hNa8MxC4R0fIEzrgCPcB/s320/ccowl.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Fp8EGrQ6-nQ/V9GRvBauJ_I/AAAAAAAABj8/bqILt427To0-ifTxsh22PYEP6FgtaoxJACPcB/s1600/cowl.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Fp8EGrQ6-nQ/V9GRvBauJ_I/AAAAAAAABj8/bqILt427To0-ifTxsh22PYEP6FgtaoxJACPcB/s320/cowl.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
In the meantime weather changed drastically. For almost a week we haven't seen a single cloud in the sky. We did our best to do as much hiking as our legs would allow. <br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<br />
Our longest trip involved: climbing a 881m high mountain (don't let the height fool you - it was NOT EASY), visiting a valley with dozens of horses on a giant pasture, getting lost on a way back and drinking water from a forest stream. All of this over 8 hours of almost constant walking.<br />
<br />
It was worth it!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-XYj9HwqCjpI/V9GRvA2lm7I/AAAAAAAABj8/nmX1EecOtCgkOdLNxyejGMA_s9rE6D4tQCPcB/s1600/regg.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-XYj9HwqCjpI/V9GRvA2lm7I/AAAAAAAABj8/nmX1EecOtCgkOdLNxyejGMA_s9rE6D4tQCPcB/s320/regg.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>

<br />
<br />
We also took various breaks from hinking, relaxing on beauiful meadows:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-aC2ur751e9o/V9GRvASSMjI/AAAAAAAABj8/jrt63nnhEhggZ-l4DTIDKgrO_sNW-dAUACPcB/s1600/lipa.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-aC2ur751e9o/V9GRvASSMjI/AAAAAAAABj8/jrt63nnhEhggZ-l4DTIDKgrO_sNW-dAUACPcB/s320/lipa.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
And doing some low-budget kriotheraphy for our sore feet. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Ny3gCV_9lxk/V9GRvMTHhzI/AAAAAAAABko/A0FnD_6kTSQojjBvOySwVdGr5QlZZni8gCPcB/s1600/ropaa.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Ny3gCV_9lxk/V9GRvMTHhzI/AAAAAAAABko/A0FnD_6kTSQojjBvOySwVdGr5QlZZni8gCPcB/s320/ropaa.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Fun fact! The region we visited was world's first oil field. And the river we enjoyed so much was called Ropa - "petroleum" in English :)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-TSSCEsx3-FY/V9GRvHesYFI/AAAAAAAABj8/qxE0MzHWoGQTSdGStDiy7UvcnUCIdd7mQCPcB/s1600/ropa.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-TSSCEsx3-FY/V9GRvHesYFI/AAAAAAAABj8/qxE0MzHWoGQTSdGStDiy7UvcnUCIdd7mQCPcB/s320/ropa.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
It was really hard to come back to work after all this. <br />
With all that said, I hope you'll forgive me my abscence. Returning to work was a bit of a shock, especially since it's the first time I had to do that.<br />
<br />
I'm taking my third chance on the state exam next week so I need plenty of relax (aka knitting another pair of socks). I could also use your crossed fingers! :)<br />
<br />
Have a nice afternoon! <br />

I was so consumed with my last project I just remembered about this year's <a href="http://yarndale.co.uk/little-woolly-sheep/" target="_blank">Yarndale Community Project</a>. Fortunaltely it's not too late to join in yet!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_3JNIMfEJ_k/V7M6dA2jVNI/AAAAAAAABgg/PyzN3QQFU_QabWIe-IvxjA0z76ga_x1TQCPcB/s1600/yarndaleapples.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_3JNIMfEJ_k/V7M6dA2jVNI/AAAAAAAABgg/PyzN3QQFU_QabWIe-IvxjA0z76ga_x1TQCPcB/s320/yarndaleapples.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
My<a href="http://www.ravelry.com/projects/Escherichia/sheep-in-sheeps-clothing-3" target="_blank"> little sheep</a> is on it's way to Yarndale.<br />
I decided to go with knitted version as I already had some experience with it. My <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/projects/Escherichia/sheep-in-sheeps-clothing-2" target="_blank">first sheep</a> from <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/sheep-in-sheeps-clothing" target="_blank">Frankie Brow's pattern</a> lives now in a hospital, where I had a part of my internship.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kVAa8bGmZes/V7M6dLkzLtI/AAAAAAAABgg/3MGQqccC78YSlo1QB-gI1Vyyyv8PgZgBQCPcB/s1600/yarndalesheep.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kVAa8bGmZes/V7M6dLkzLtI/AAAAAAAABgg/3MGQqccC78YSlo1QB-gI1Vyyyv8PgZgBQCPcB/s320/yarndalesheep.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Let's getto some details: for body I used leftovers of Alize Baby Wool (wool/acrylic/bamboo blend) and for the coat the very last remains of Malabrigo Sock. I also added a nice collar to the sweater. In order to easily find my sheep in the giant Yarndale flock I gave it a haircut. Three shorts pieces of Drops Lima, some combing, and sewing... and voila!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/--1EVRfrJCKU/V7M6dBWs0OI/AAAAAAAABgg/UsXm-bGBoGs0UKg3bm8D8R_KU6FMj5B8QCPcB/s1600/yarndalehair.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/--1EVRfrJCKU/V7M6dBWs0OI/AAAAAAAABgg/UsXm-bGBoGs0UKg3bm8D8R_KU6FMj5B8QCPcB/s320/yarndalehair.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-qA7csjAFYv4/V7M6dDoY9HI/AAAAAAAABgg/Vpl8aOSBeF8mAjXxpP-r4vzjeDwAhKargCPcB/s1600/yardndaleshhep.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-qA7csjAFYv4/V7M6dDoY9HI/AAAAAAAABgg/Vpl8aOSBeF8mAjXxpP-r4vzjeDwAhKargCPcB/s320/yardndaleshhep.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Korek wasn't interested in participating so I took the liberty of photographing him in his sleep. Isn't he a cutie? A lazy one, but still!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-yMg0ByMkJC8/V7M6dIt3YNI/AAAAAAAABgg/QjtBqixytx8veUqZs1U8zADkkTSUmZKJgCPcB/s1600/yarndalekorek.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-yMg0ByMkJC8/V7M6dIt3YNI/AAAAAAAABgg/QjtBqixytx8veUqZs1U8zADkkTSUmZKJgCPcB/s320/yarndalekorek.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
I had to secure the parcel somehow without using a plastic-padded envelope. After digging through all sorts of materials I found a piece of undyed Crêpe paper. How did it get to my room? No idea. But hey! It came in handy!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-D7_UQ-ws9DY/V7M6dJ42FBI/AAAAAAAABgg/-xKXnzj9JxwBDPPJs3BuirMQgB7uMV5aACPcB/s1600/yarndalepackage.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-D7_UQ-ws9DY/V7M6dJ42FBI/AAAAAAAABgg/-xKXnzj9JxwBDPPJs3BuirMQgB7uMV5aACPcB/s320/yarndalepackage.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Now all I have to do is to keep my fingers crossed for postal service. Have a safe trip, little sheep!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
And nice afternoon to you all!</div>

It took 36 days, 97grams of Malabrigo Sock "Playa", one pair of 3,5 mm straight needles and a free pattern <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/pincha-shawl" target="_blank">Pincha shawl</a> by Pinpilan Wangsai... But <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/projects/Escherichia/pincha-shawl" target="_blank">here it is</a>. All ready, soft, warm and squishy!</div>
<div>
With 24 feathers!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-iE_Z6oDVHcc/V67gwyeaXgI/AAAAAAAABfU/1jZvgnCAh6cNzams1tzTZNJbZs182UtYACPcB/s1600/almostdone.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-iE_Z6oDVHcc/V67gwyeaXgI/AAAAAAAABfU/1jZvgnCAh6cNzams1tzTZNJbZs182UtYACPcB/s320/almostdone.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I'm such a lucky girl! It's really cold today, so I can wrap it around me without the danger of suffocation an overheating. Also a dim light helps showing off the true color of this yarn. </div>
<div>
Working on this shawl was really pleasant, and by 6th or 7th feather I memorized the entire sequence. Yes, I admit I had to go back few times and there is one mistake I know about...</div>
<div>
...but I can't find it anymore, so that's good, right? </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-r85IPTfsVHc/V67gw-PPsFI/AAAAAAAABfU/NNkcyrwUdIA0iXoDtfrx-Lt_T9BOjB_HACPcB/s1600/almostddd.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="225" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-r85IPTfsVHc/V67gw-PPsFI/AAAAAAAABfU/NNkcyrwUdIA0iXoDtfrx-Lt_T9BOjB_HACPcB/s320/almostddd.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I had a bit of a problem with blocking it. Usually I block my items by soaking them in water with some mild detergent and letting them dry. But yesterday, of all days, a main water pipe was damaged few blocks away. We still get yellow-ish tap water, and I wouldn't dare to put my precious merino into it! </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Therefore I just steamed it thoroughly, and I am really pleased with the effect. Here's how it looked pre-blocked:</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-8UCDkF73obM/V67gw6ERr3I/AAAAAAAABfU/wu98egSCcMQdL6qvD0sxIBZp28s83IgAQCPcB/s1600/almostautumn.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="225" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-8UCDkF73obM/V67gw6ERr3I/AAAAAAAABfU/wu98egSCcMQdL6qvD0sxIBZp28s83IgAQCPcB/s320/almostautumn.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Not a big difference there, except maybe for the feel of it. </div>
<div>
I wanted to show you how good it looks when wrapped around my neck. </div>
<div>
But SOMEONE photobombed this pic mercilessly!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-hcJq200_sis/V67gw3v9vtI/AAAAAAAABfU/NpxG7G1k5Foj9QKSwxpn9M6cMOmFEK8fQCPcB/s1600/aslmost%2Bspaniellove.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="215" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-hcJq200_sis/V67gw3v9vtI/AAAAAAAABfU/NpxG7G1k5Foj9QKSwxpn9M6cMOmFEK8fQCPcB/s320/aslmost%2Bspaniellove.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I feel like I need to take a rest from short rows for a while. Maybe I'l finally have time to finish the second pair of anle socks for my mom?</div>
<div>
Or write down a pattern for a baby dress I made...</div>
<div>
We'll see!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Have a nice afternoon! </div>
<div>
<br /></div>

I certainly cannot! <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Rp-Om-ZNy_0/V5x7qFJwFWI/AAAAAAAABeE/ujnPoAHyMg8a02n-crSN5JUTbUTacvkYgCKgB/s1600/pinczasunflower.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="226" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Rp-Om-ZNy_0/V5x7qFJwFWI/AAAAAAAABeE/ujnPoAHyMg8a02n-crSN5JUTbUTacvkYgCKgB/s320/pinczasunflower.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I started my <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/projects/Escherichia/pincha-shawl" target="_blank">Pincha Shawl</a> back in June. At first I planned to use one of my Ciao Mondial skeins, but it turned out to have too long color repeats. So I dug into my Emergency Yarn Fund (also known as my bank account) and got myself a skein of Malabigo Sock in Playa colorway. <br />
After almost a month of knitting, I'm down to 30 grams of yarn:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-6GWx_IyMe2c/V5x7kqHAc8I/AAAAAAAABeE/QKVymskismM-6p-aLn_hXbxVg8L8AWVYwCKgB/s1600/pincza3rd.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-6GWx_IyMe2c/V5x7kqHAc8I/AAAAAAAABeE/QKVymskismM-6p-aLn_hXbxVg8L8AWVYwCKgB/s320/pincza3rd.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
It's very hard to capture the true color on pictures! It seems my green garden table is the best background. Still, on every pictures shades are a bit different,<br />
<br />
Here's the closest to natural look:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-zeqx_IKAvNU/V5x7eLVIKlI/AAAAAAAABeE/43pJTW7cF70y0ufr0KrRxC_YGGwo-lm3ACKgB/s1600/pincha1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="182" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-zeqx_IKAvNU/V5x7eLVIKlI/AAAAAAAABeE/43pJTW7cF70y0ufr0KrRxC_YGGwo-lm3ACKgB/s320/pincha1.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
And current state of my work. 17 complete feathers. It would already make a nice scarf, but I couldn't bare to waste 30 grams of such wonderful merino.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/--srEHZTYFfA/V5x7gIZgaVI/AAAAAAAABeE/JjLNEjjULVQR2etvxUPHnUCDxZ0apXJbACKgB/s1600/pincza.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="230" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/--srEHZTYFfA/V5x7gIZgaVI/AAAAAAAABeE/JjLNEjjULVQR2etvxUPHnUCDxZ0apXJbACKgB/s320/pincza.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Pattern <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/pincha-shawl">Pincha shawl</a> by Pinpilan Wangsai is available for free on Ravelry. At first all the turning and wrapping may seems overwhelming, but after several feathers I knew it by heart.<br />
Short color repeats result in feather-like appearance.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-uh6p202Wq3s/V5x7lkGpixI/AAAAAAAABeE/a7KRrnputN8OH6Em3JSW0ZBEjP9YMm-UACKgB/s1600/pinczacloseup.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="218" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-uh6p202Wq3s/V5x7lkGpixI/AAAAAAAABeE/a7KRrnputN8OH6Em3JSW0ZBEjP9YMm-UACKgB/s320/pinczacloseup.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Last week I started two other projects. <br />
I want to keep the first one a secret, but I'll show you just a little bit:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ZdZlrk0InUA/V5x8CI6tDVI/AAAAAAAABeM/2mmlB-pAVt0Ce38LSLG7Wq8LLZ-Ia0o8gCKgB/s1600/shhh.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ZdZlrk0InUA/V5x8CI6tDVI/AAAAAAAABeM/2mmlB-pAVt0Ce38LSLG7Wq8LLZ-Ia0o8gCKgB/s320/shhh.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Second one is a<a href="http://www.ravelry.com/projects/Escherichia/blanket-of-shame" target="_blank"> tunisian crochet doggie blanket</a> for my buddy - Korek. He's already 8yrs old and recently he started to turn a bit grey lately. Also he's extremely fond of my knitting, and tried to steal my shawl few days ago. </div>
<div>

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-bCcqnXJkGzE/V4TUy1wnymI/AAAAAAAABdU/Lsxiumur7TsbfPqcQjpIykTCTDLmPMbFgCKgB/s1600/oposf4.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-bCcqnXJkGzE/V4TUy1wnymI/AAAAAAAABdU/Lsxiumur7TsbfPqcQjpIykTCTDLmPMbFgCKgB/s320/oposf4.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
Ok, to be honest I found him on Ravelry (where else?). I was lucky enough to join a free <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/discuss/rabbit-hole-knits/3461364/1-25" target="_blank">KAL</a> for <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/owens-opossum" target="_blank">Owen's Opossum.</a> This cutie was designed by my all-time favorite toy designer: <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/designers/sara-elizabeth-kellner">Sara Elizabeth Kellner</a> from <a href="http://www.rabbitholeknits.com/" target="_blank">Rabitt Hole Knits</a>. <br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I finished knitting my possum in less than 3 days. I used acrylic yarn leftovers from my<a href="http://hasiokandfriends.blogspot.com/2016/05/mysterious-purple-grey-things.html" target="_blank"> Purple Cats</a>, and some pretty random scraps. Since I used smaller needles (3mm for magic loop, and 2,5mm dpns) he came out smaller than original.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-vamPFL5b72Y/V4TUwQ_mkXI/AAAAAAAABdU/ljTFEKTQ3G43tCvlfdJQMB6cHUDVKzUbgCKgB/s1600/oposf.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-vamPFL5b72Y/V4TUwQ_mkXI/AAAAAAAABdU/ljTFEKTQ3G43tCvlfdJQMB6cHUDVKzUbgCKgB/s320/oposf.JPG" width="206" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
I haven't decided how to call him yet, I was thinking Frank - in honor of <a href="http://parksandrecreation.wikia.com/wiki/Fairway_Frank" target="_blank">Fairway Frank </a>from one of Parks and Recreation episodes.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-UfOa7Hpe7ao/V4TU1RdMLXI/AAAAAAAABdU/hiAJUhEkt0s94WWLVS9x-m-mJMrg8ZXuwCKgB/s1600/oposf7.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="248" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-UfOa7Hpe7ao/V4TU1RdMLXI/AAAAAAAABdU/hiAJUhEkt0s94WWLVS9x-m-mJMrg8ZXuwCKgB/s320/oposf7.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
While outside, Frank tried to make my dog like him. They didn't get along so well.<br />
Sometimes Korek seems just tired of it all:<br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">"Keep your stupid knitting away!!!"</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<br />
I went back to my attic and look who showed up! Just in time to meet his new pal!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-mOcUj9wykys/V4TUxBxMNHI/AAAAAAAABdU/asQ17UHAyqoZY8v7YSErdhqmVpGPAM6cwCKgB/s1600/oposf2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="220" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-mOcUj9wykys/V4TUxBxMNHI/AAAAAAAABdU/asQ17UHAyqoZY8v7YSErdhqmVpGPAM6cwCKgB/s320/oposf2.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
They seem to be enjoying their company, peeking out of my window. I wonder what are those to up to? I just hope it's not related with my yarn stash in any way.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Well I'm definitely up to making a nice milkshake, with red currants! :3<br />
And making some progress on my scarf. The one I'll share with next time.<span id="goog_663926270"><br /></span><br />

It is kinda hard, because usually July was my busiest knitting month. I'm not giving up this year, though! <br />
In last few weeks I completed one big project and two smaller ones. And today I received long a awaited parcel - a skein of Malabrigo Sock yarn. I also got a free project bag, since the postage was seriously delayed. Oooh my!<br />
<br />
But let's get back to my former -WIPs. I present to you.. my brand new <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/projects/Escherichia/syna" target="_blank">Syna Shawl</a>. Pattern <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/syna" target="_blank">Syna</a> by Mary Renji.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-gcYTX5QSatc/V30xv1mMcSI/AAAAAAAABcA/4vaAFdNq5V0Z9s9_98utySboEI42_fJZwCKgB/s1600/yna3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="264" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-gcYTX5QSatc/V30xv1mMcSI/AAAAAAAABcA/4vaAFdNq5V0Z9s9_98utySboEI42_fJZwCKgB/s320/yna3.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
For this shawl I used<a href="http://www.ravelry.com/yarns/library/yarnart-cotton-soft" target="_blank"> Cotton Soft by </a><a href="http://www.ravelry.com/yarns/library/yarnart-cotton-soft" target="_blank">YarnArt</a> and I was really pleased. This yarn is almost unspliatble! Perfect for crocheting!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-zLJBZlBWkNw/V30xwW2QqbI/AAAAAAAABcI/2r8rtZ8qQvUzRyKKxObkYCJLi54wSuvPgCKgB/s1600/yna2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-zLJBZlBWkNw/V30xwW2QqbI/AAAAAAAABcI/2r8rtZ8qQvUzRyKKxObkYCJLi54wSuvPgCKgB/s320/yna2.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
The only modification I made was finishing work after a solid section. Last row was crocheted using a crab stitch. I still have some yarn left, but I decided it's big enough:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-pKDXYE9O6XI/V30xvCLL_hI/AAAAAAAABcI/e9Qil_p7tkA9zz_W0o3_bINyrIK3K74NwCKgB/s1600/Yna1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="214" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-pKDXYE9O6XI/V30xvCLL_hI/AAAAAAAABcI/e9Qil_p7tkA9zz_W0o3_bINyrIK3K74NwCKgB/s320/Yna1.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Now I have to buy a matching dress, because we've been invited to a wedding. <br />
<br />
My other no-longer-WIPs are not that big, in fact they are tiny! It's a set of newborn-size <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/projects/Escherichia/mariannas-lazy-daisy-top-down-with-sleeves" target="_blank">cardi</a> and a matching<a href="http://www.ravelry.com/projects/Escherichia/eyelet-baby-hat" target="_blank"> hat</a> for my friend. She's expecting her first baby, and I still need to make a pair of small booties. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-pE80A18RA1k/V301n_doidI/AAAAAAAABcU/gQVH8PcJBTkXr5Shv_vFiW0cZTEFg2XPwCKgB/s1600/na%2Bfin.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="243" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-pE80A18RA1k/V301n_doidI/AAAAAAAABcU/gQVH8PcJBTkXr5Shv_vFiW0cZTEFg2XPwCKgB/s320/na%2Bfin.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Free patterns: <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/mariannas-lazy-daisy-top-down-with-sleeves">Marianna's Lazy Daisy Top-Down with sleeves</a> and <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/eyelet-baby-hat-3">eyelet baby hat</a>, both by marianna mel.<br />
For those I used what I had left from<a href="http://hasiokandfriends.blogspot.com/2016/04/never-again-at-least-not-this-month-okay.html" target="_blank"> Never Again Blanket</a>, which was made for the same baby-to-be. <br />
<br />
Now forgive me, but I can hear my lovely, soft, delicate skein of Malabrigo Sock yarn whisper... "wind me, wiiiiind meee!". I just have to trick my hubby into being a skein holder for a while!<br />
<br />
Have a nice afternoon!<br />
<br />
Gosia.<br />

Who doesn't love Children's Day? Being 26 years old is not a good enough reason not to celebrate it, right?<br />
Over a week ago my and my hubby got invited by my in-laws to their holiday home. Placed in small town, very near to mountains. Weather was surprisingly good, so we even got to do some hiking!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-OKt8xpzG2r4/V17ci1ZAcTI/AAAAAAAABbk/d6dpVMktCC0lltAVitLg5tYMSt7KpYtLQCKgB/s1600/osm%2Bweekend2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-OKt8xpzG2r4/V17ci1ZAcTI/AAAAAAAABbk/d6dpVMktCC0lltAVitLg5tYMSt7KpYtLQCKgB/s320/osm%2Bweekend2.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I regretted not taking any of my WIP's with me, so I could do some open air crocheting.<br />
While enjoying the view, that is.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-sDWbFcLC53o/V17chcbaXLI/AAAAAAAABbk/mI98mppIjcosQBIXDKTXH-LXc7vYHq55gCKgB/s1600/osm%2Bweekend.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-sDWbFcLC53o/V17chcbaXLI/AAAAAAAABbk/mI98mppIjcosQBIXDKTXH-LXc7vYHq55gCKgB/s320/osm%2Bweekend.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
When we took some rest in the evening, my mother-in-law asked if I heard of octopuses (or is it octopi?) for preemies. As soon as I got home I googled a bit and gathered info on <a href="https://www.spruttegruppen.dk/danish-octo-project-english/" target="_blank">The Danish Octo Project</a>. I found also a big Polish group on <a href="https://www.facebook.com/osmiorniczkidlawczesniakow/?fref=ts" target="_blank">Facebook</a>, crocheting and distributing octopuses. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-D--4yAGfth8/V17jT7eSEEI/AAAAAAAABbs/4_tsN_cMLXgdX2i6LBP9vAfHuk2laUB9ACKgB/s1600/logo.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-D--4yAGfth8/V17jT7eSEEI/AAAAAAAABbs/4_tsN_cMLXgdX2i6LBP9vAfHuk2laUB9ACKgB/s200/logo.png" width="183" /></a></div>
<br />
All softies must be made of 100% cotton, and stuffed with polyester filling.<br />
Soo... I dug up all skein ends of Alize Bella I could find and started my work. First two projects are staying with me, because I didn't get the tension right, and filling shows through :( I couldn't bring myself to frog them, though.<br />
Here's my collection of finished octopuses/pi:<br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Two in the middle are the ones staying :)</td></tr>

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-u-qVnqO-lQw/V17cl71-03I/AAAAAAAABbk/4LzhJ8S9664MywDh3Wsjul3Z84bb07lLgCKgB/s1600/osm3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="208" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-u-qVnqO-lQw/V17cl71-03I/AAAAAAAABbk/4LzhJ8S9664MywDh3Wsjul3Z84bb07lLgCKgB/s320/osm3.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I also have some unfinished heads, and tomorrow I'm visiting my sister in search of more cotton. <br />
Let's just have one more look at those swirling arms, shall we? <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-8eY0KUEn9HI/V17cktiu6uI/AAAAAAAABbk/8DvrBban5tY7Qkn6lhEY35wvLlsMhVwPwCKgB/s1600/osm2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="265" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-8eY0KUEn9HI/V17cktiu6uI/AAAAAAAABbk/8DvrBban5tY7Qkn6lhEY35wvLlsMhVwPwCKgB/s320/osm2.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I think I could find time to crochet another one today.<br />
Have a nice afternoon!<br />

...aaand I'm back at work. </div>
<div>
I've had an amazing 4 day long weekend, though!</div>
<div>
On Thursday we visited Pszczyna, just like <a href="http://hasiokandfriends.blogspot.com/2015/07/summer-field-trip.html" target="_blank">last year</a>. On Friday we ventured in the opposite direction and arrived at <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moszna_Castle" target="_blank">Moszna</a> (please, don't check for direct translation from Polish to English... just don't). The castle itself, looks like it was stolen from Disney logo, but it has a certain charm to it. </div>
<div>
Not to mention a skeleton-princess in the highest tower, who did cost me some sleepless nights when I was a kid.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-fBW9zxzBKeE/V0xr6qyWTFI/AAAAAAAABaI/y1kYTiZ0jL4zChD5zyMt5FHnIRXCFwM3gCKgB/s1600/synamoszna.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-fBW9zxzBKeE/V0xr6qyWTFI/AAAAAAAABaI/y1kYTiZ0jL4zChD5zyMt5FHnIRXCFwM3gCKgB/s320/synamoszna.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
The most enjoyable part for me was a long stroll in the park. Rhododendrons were still in bloom... and just look:</div>
<div>

<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Unfortunately two days of sunny weather turned out to be enough to build up thick stormy clouds, and Saturday and Sunday got us mostly grounded.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Every cloud has a silver lining, right? I had ALL the time in the world to knit! I started with speedkniting <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/projects/Escherichia/bows-before-bros" target="_blank">booties</a> for my cousin's new baby. <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/bows-before-bros">Bows Before Bros </a> by Carrie Briggs :</div>
<div>

<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
And then I moved to crocheting my <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/projects/Escherichia/syna" target="_blank">Syna Shawl</a>.</div>
<div>
No. I did not re-brand my Banana Leaf Shawl. I guess it's destined to be my standby project.</div>
<div>
It's a new shawl I started on May 20th. Pattern is called <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/syna">Syna</a> by Mary Renji </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I started using a delivery box as a project bag. You know how they say: reuse, re-purpose, recycle! :)So far I'm done with two lace section repeats, and I'm still enjoying my work. It is a mindless work except for moving from one section to another. </div>
<div>
Netflix & Ch.. Crochet it is then!</div>

Two chubby, striped kittens! <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-8glt-VvaX10/Vzbi8UODDBI/AAAAAAAABY0/uSgwnHE5M3Uf03BnHlEIbEYx8fdaSGGMACKgB/s1600/cats.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="256" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-8glt-VvaX10/Vzbi8UODDBI/AAAAAAAABY0/uSgwnHE5M3Uf03BnHlEIbEYx8fdaSGGMACKgB/s320/cats.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Some of you may remember my first kitty made from <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/the-parlor-cat">The Parlor Cat</a> Pattern by Sara Elizabeth Kellner. It was for my youngest niece's first birthday. <br />
Word travels fast, so soon I had an order for "two big cats, four small ones and a set of mice".<br />
Since I really enjoy going to work, and in having a life in general, I had to cut this order short. First one was a good and tried<span id="goog_873140475"></span><a href="https://www.blogger.com/"> Parlor Cat:</a><br />
<span id="goog_873140476"></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-LQSyZti_0xQ/Vzbi8ObIUyI/AAAAAAAABY0/08NedHDsbt8MFBE41X9weqaKT12qdkGvACKgB/s1600/cat.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-LQSyZti_0xQ/Vzbi8ObIUyI/AAAAAAAABY0/08NedHDsbt8MFBE41X9weqaKT12qdkGvACKgB/s320/cat.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
But as I finished and still had a lot of yarn left (Nako Rekor, really nice, soft, a bit fuzzy acrylic) I decided to make a<a href="http://www.ravelry.com/projects/Escherichia/the-window-cat" target="_blank"> second cat</a>. This time using different pattern from the same collection: <br />
<div class="value">
<a href="http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/the-window-cat">The Window Cat</a> by Sara Elizabeth Kellner. </div>
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-lbsI9LMhaTE/Vzbi9Z5_nnI/AAAAAAAABY0/jBh77ygeg98mmQDWj6-tHQqW5O-jlWPsgCKgB/s1600/cat2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-lbsI9LMhaTE/Vzbi9Z5_nnI/AAAAAAAABY0/jBh77ygeg98mmQDWj6-tHQqW5O-jlWPsgCKgB/s320/cat2.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
At first I was afraid making two row stripes will show the jog on round beginning, but frankly, it turned out better than the first one!<br />
I skipped making legs. I just like it better that way, and I saw many Ravelers do it :)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-krMoad27h6U/VzbjAN1jYNI/AAAAAAAABY0/iNgZWyWNb4ARQ4D1iihDJnw97tB_8I3XgCKgB/s1600/cats3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-krMoad27h6U/VzbjAN1jYNI/AAAAAAAABY0/iNgZWyWNb4ARQ4D1iihDJnw97tB_8I3XgCKgB/s320/cats3.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-_qqQCA-Ygjk/VzbjBFmJ2dI/AAAAAAAABY4/M7wVwHU0E0EavKgSHs6wLgSeZ-zENCfAgCKgB/s1600/cats2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-_qqQCA-Ygjk/VzbjBFmJ2dI/AAAAAAAABY4/M7wVwHU0E0EavKgSHs6wLgSeZ-zENCfAgCKgB/s320/cats2.JPG" width="234" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div align="left" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
Yesterday I gave them to my niece. She loved them! Her real cats however... not so much. I hope they won't decide to murder their new flatmates! :)<br />
<br />
Now that that's done I can get back to Banana Leaf Shawl. It's going really great, but I'm still not halfway through the skein! I'll take some pics for the next post!<br />
<br />
<br />
Have a nice afternoon! <br />

Since last year it's also a holiday for all sock knitters...<br />
<h3 style="text-align: center;">

<h3 style="text-align: center;">
Sockalong Anniversary! </h3>
<h3 align="left" style="text-align: center;">
</h3>
For more info on this marvellous initiative check out <a href="http://www.winwickmum.blogspot.com/2016/05/winwick-mum-sockalong-1st-birthday.html" target="_blank">Winwick Mum's blog</a>.<br />
Last night I managed to complete my <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/projects/Escherichia/skew" target="_blank">7th pair of socks</a>. I think they're worthy of celebrating this day!<br />
Pattern: <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/skew">Skew</a> by Lana Holden.<br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-HQB7BVSLGH4/VyhUduLtRNI/AAAAAAAABYU/fBI5sN7qKrAi2dD7caKKJJL_9YQSz4TZACKgB/s1600/mayheels.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-HQB7BVSLGH4/VyhUduLtRNI/AAAAAAAABYU/fBI5sN7qKrAi2dD7caKKJJL_9YQSz4TZACKgB/s320/mayheels.JPG" width="320" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Photo by my hubby, who demanded that I mention him. </td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-NFh1mjI4-Zc/VyhUfPphQmI/AAAAAAAABYU/f5i4VHIbGb0mmRhMEmKhtFrViGrCEVltgCKgB/s1600/mayskdone.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-NFh1mjI4-Zc/VyhUfPphQmI/AAAAAAAABYU/f5i4VHIbGb0mmRhMEmKhtFrViGrCEVltgCKgB/s320/mayskdone.JPG" width="284" /></a></div>
<br />
I'm absolutely delighted with this yarn! To be honest, I wasn't trying to make them match, because I couldn't get my head around color repeats. Also, different toes are useful for telling right sock from the left one :)<br />
<br />
I think I should do a small compilation now, entitled "my year in socks":<br />
<br />
#1: Green, 100% wool, 200% satisfaction<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

We were supposed to go on a nice trip today, but it's rainy, so we decided to stay inside. I can't even pretend I'm worried about this...<br />

Have a nice afternoon! <br />
... I surely will!<br />

(*at least not this month, okay?) Done, done, doooooone! The quickest blanket ever! <br />

<br />
You know what? I absolutely LOVED making it! The best moment was when I removed pins after blocking, and discovered it grew over 10cm in each direction. Final measurements are 80x90cm! I used four 50g skeins plus about 1/3rd for border. <br />
Also it got really soft and lacy afterwards.<br />
<br />

Not to mention how it made the lace stand out:</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
I wanted to give it to my coworker as soon as possible, so I didn't wait for a good picture light. <br />
It would take me too long, because late April just turned really cold!<br />

<br />
Ahh, now I can return to my <a href="http://hasiokandfriends.blogspot.com/2016/04/skeeeew-haaa.html" target="_blank">Skewed Socks</a>. I'm almost ready for second heel! <br />
I also decided to add some rows to my <a href="http://hasiokandfriends.blogspot.com/2016/02/the-annual-first-bee-day-2016.html" target="_blank">Banana Leaf Shawl</a> - I'm sure I could find a use for it this summer!<br />
<br />
Have a nice afternoon! <br />

It was all by ACCIDENT, and the only one to blame is my favourite yarn shop, for sending me emails about discounts. <br />
<br />
I had <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/projects/Escherichia/skew" target="_blank">this project</a> on mind since a long time. Pattern is called<a href="http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/skew" target="_blank"> Skew</a> by Lana Holden. Construction of the sock is just plain awesome! At one point I was sure I made a mistake as it would not look like a sock at all! But then...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-aDzYESGUfjI/VxM7w-ur1UI/AAAAAAAABW4/juOXk4vRWkcockXqPo0BL9qNDcsh3QBggCKgB/s1600/skew2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-aDzYESGUfjI/VxM7w-ur1UI/AAAAAAAABW4/juOXk4vRWkcockXqPo0BL9qNDcsh3QBggCKgB/s320/skew2.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
There is however a small problem with fit. As long as the fabric is stretched - fits just right. The moment I let it go - it gets baggy around my ankles. I think that's partially because of my bony legs, and the fact that pattern is not really adjustable. </div>
<div>
<div>
That won't stop me from casting on a second sock, of course! </div>
</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-G6oYcA4hzvU/VxM7vQqxyKI/AAAAAAAABW4/THxiRWuMWXELbMCrzVHIBMsPdr9KTo82gCKgB/s1600/skew1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-G6oYcA4hzvU/VxM7vQqxyKI/AAAAAAAABW4/THxiRWuMWXELbMCrzVHIBMsPdr9KTo82gCKgB/s320/skew1.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
As for my other WIP's - I'm in the middle of the 4th (and final) skein of my <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/projects/Escherichia/elven-pixie-baby-blanket" target="_blank">Never Again Blanket</a>. After so many repeats it became a mindless knit :)</div>

At least I have a decent excuse - the weather last week was PERFECT. We decided we need some fresh air so we went to our favourite park. <br />
The one we visited last <a href="http://hasiokandfriends.blogspot.com/2015/08/making-beginning-is-one-third-of-work.html" target="_blank">summer</a>, and <a href="http://hasiokandfriends.blogspot.com/2015/05/may-day-trip.html" target="_blank">spring</a>.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-nUl_hEk7RNo/VwoD8xjuioI/AAAAAAAABWQ/kWTuePUHrWgRvjmUwTdhoS1JBRDTzFPCQ/s1600/spring2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-nUl_hEk7RNo/VwoD8xjuioI/AAAAAAAABWQ/kWTuePUHrWgRvjmUwTdhoS1JBRDTzFPCQ/s320/spring2.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-pe_2Cf4QDNg/VwoD9uOzxcI/AAAAAAAABWQ/EztSD2sc-v4_G6VZqsTi1iH5h_RbbNcEQ/s1600/spring3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-pe_2Cf4QDNg/VwoD9uOzxcI/AAAAAAAABWQ/EztSD2sc-v4_G6VZqsTi1iH5h_RbbNcEQ/s320/spring3.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Since today we have a horribly cold and rainy Sunday... I'm back!<br />
My <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/projects/Escherichia/elven-pixie-baby-blanket" target="_blank">"Never again" blanket</a> is going surprisingly well. I am just few metres away from completing third skein. I can't wait to block it!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-nCWPUVSma9A/VwoD8Decw3I/AAAAAAAABWQ/yR8nPaZ3ObAYinWJheBSYfKOCxhiK5Jmg/s1600/pixie.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-nCWPUVSma9A/VwoD8Decw3I/AAAAAAAABWQ/yR8nPaZ3ObAYinWJheBSYfKOCxhiK5Jmg/s320/pixie.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
It is impossible for me to stay focused on one project at a time, so I started this crochet beauty:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-UAap18d6o8E/VwoG46knBmI/AAAAAAAABWY/DhJQd11YMHUW9Ye6yAV7fF-zKNcjaFSgQ/s1600/mandala.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-UAap18d6o8E/VwoG46knBmI/AAAAAAAABWY/DhJQd11YMHUW9Ye6yAV7fF-zKNcjaFSgQ/s320/mandala.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Using Ten Stitch Blanket leftovers, and some black acrylic/wool mix. I follow the <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/granny-mandala" target="_blank">Granny Mandala</a> pattern by Crochet with Raymond. I hope I will have enough patience to turn it into a circular shrug or a cardi.<br />
<br />
Today I got an email about a big sock yarn discount. Couldn't help myself... 4 skeins are on their way. I think this means getting be back to socks knitting this month. Just in time for the first Sockalong anniversary I guess! :)<br />
<br />
Ohhh, now I need to make some progress on the blanket before my new yarn arrives. <br />
<br />
Have a nice afternoon! <br />

Or to start new ones...<br />
<br />
So about two weeks ago I found this new (to me at least) yarn brand. I was looking for a nice soft acrylic for my Mysterious Purple-Grey Thing, and<u> just by accident</u> I also purchased a skein of<a href="http://www.ravelry.com/yarns/library/nako-ombre" target="_blank"> Nako Ombre </a>in red-purple. It is a rather cheap 75% acrylic 25% wool mix, and my <span id="goog_2069075369"></span><a href="https://www.blogger.com/">drop stitch scarf</a> <span id="goog_2069075370"></span>probably won't last longer than one season, but I'd say it was worth it! Finished scarf is soft, warm, colors are wonderful, and yarn did not break once during knitting. And it took me just one skein and five afternoons to complete:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Aqc0dBagEkg/Vu6i1dhgUjI/AAAAAAAABVc/ygNvkIQ-QL4zBZf7KqsDy1y1z7ILx-glA/s1600/scarf.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Aqc0dBagEkg/Vu6i1dhgUjI/AAAAAAAABVc/ygNvkIQ-QL4zBZf7KqsDy1y1z7ILx-glA/s320/scarf.JPG" width="198" /></a></div>
<div align="left" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div>
Of course I had a little helper, who is still dissapointed I didn't let him use <span id="goog_2069075383"></span><a href="https://www.blogger.com/">Ten Stitch Corner<span id="goog_2069075384"></span></a> as a doggie blanket. His little paws were reaching to check if the gauge is right. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-W6NouVJ9Rn4/Vu6i4_WiTZI/AAAAAAAABVc/cK3ZtItv_EwpJJdHQSYbKA9N06ni-vKcw/s1600/scarf1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-W6NouVJ9Rn4/Vu6i4_WiTZI/AAAAAAAABVc/cK3ZtItv_EwpJJdHQSYbKA9N06ni-vKcw/s320/scarf1.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Before you all think I'm a bad person, who wouldn't make anything for her poor dog:</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I DID MAKE THAT *** A SWEATER!!! </div>
<div>
It was my <span id="goog_2069075386"></span><a href="https://www.blogger.com/">very first Ravelry project</a> <span id="goog_2069075387"></span>(ones with earlier dates are from my pre-Ravelry period).</div>
<div>
What did I get for my commitment, should you ask? </div>
<div>
A nasty growl when I tried to dress him up for a walk! </div>

See? I'm not the one who's evil!</div>

My Mysterious Purple-Grey Thing is finished, but I'll be able to share it in May, because (again) it's a birthday gift. I decided to make a second, similar Thing, so the first one would have a company. </div>
<div>
The yarn I'm using for both projects is a 100% acrylic<a href="http://www.ravelry.com/yarns/library/nako-rekor" target="_blank"> Nako Rekor</a>. I don't know if it would be nice for sweaters, but for toys it works great!</div>

There's a slight chance we might get through Easter without snow! Last Easter in March ended with us stuck in snow while trying to visit my fiance's granny. Forecasts are more optimistic this year. Weather is still rather chilly, but at least now we have sunny days!</div>

Time to make a shameful confession... When I finished my second ever baby blanket I swore I won't start another one anytime soon. Well, as I learned the term "anytime soon" can mean "at least for one week", because yesterday I ordered yarn for a christening blanket... for my co-worker's baby-to-be. This needs to be done by July, so there's stillplenty of time left! What worries me is that she picked a lacy pattern, which might cause me some trouble, and that we only got seven 50g skeins - all that was left in yarn shop. </div>
<div>
Ahhh, waiting for a squishy parcel to arrive is pure pleasure! </div>

Have a nice afternoon!</div>
